In today's world it takes more than just premium quality products to do the job. It takes experience, high quality service, and a team that will go the extra mile to ensure the success of your project. "We're off the beaten path, but well worth the scenic drive."
For 68 years Martin's Native Lumber Inc., has been family owned and operated. John Martin started the company as a planing, milling, and blacksmith shop in 1942.
As the business grew from a simple shop to a larger enterprise his son Ken Martin, along with his wife Grace Martin, returned to work with John and eventually bought the business in 1984.
In 1988 the company and family faced a tragedy when the office and mill caught fire. The building and most of the contents were a total loss. Ken and Grace were overwhelmed with the support of dedicated employees, the community, and friends. The staff set up a temporary office in Ken and Grace's garage and the first sale was made at 8 a.m. the morning after the fire. A new office and mill was built within a matter of 4 weeks and was fully operational after a few short months.
Today the Martin family is proud to still be in the same business nearly 70 years later Ken and Grace work at Martin's Native Lumber, and look forward to taking the company into it's 100th year in business.
